A New Orleans native, Ramsey Marcello brings both local insight and broad legal experience to his practice. After graduating from Vanderbilt University, he moved to Washington, D.C., where he began his legal career at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. During his time there, he worked on complex litigation and high profile cases before returning to Louisiana to further his education at Tulane University School of Law.
Since joining Nicaud & Siemssen, Mr. Marcello’s practice has covered a wide range of legal areas. He focuses on construction law, including pre-construction residential contracts, commercial work, and lien issues under the Public and Private Works Acts. He also handles New Home Warranty Act claims and redhibition claims. In addition, Mr. Marcello has experience advising on commercial and residential leases, as well as guiding clients through estate planning, including wills, trusts, and succession disputes.
Mr. Marcello also helps clients with real estate matters, particularly those involving boundary lines, acquisitive prescription, and property disputes. In business law, Mr. Marcello works on mergers and acquisitions, business formation, and drafting operating agreements.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Marcello has successfully managed hundreds of cases involving hurricane litigation, working to resolve issues related to insurance claims and property damage caused by natural disasters. He also handles personal injury cases, including automobile and truck accidents, and premises liability.
Mr. Marcello is known for his practical approach to solving problems and his dedication to achieving the best possible outcomes for his clients. Outside of work, he enjoys watching Saints games, traveling, and spending time with his dogs.
